During a wonderful camping trip near Mount St. Helens 4th of July weekend, we visited Falls Creek Falls. Though Addam had been there several times before, this was my first visit, having been thwarted by snow and road closures on the last couple of attempts. In an effort to avoid the maddening crowd up above at the viewpoint, we decided to head down below the falls first. Personally, I think this is the better view anyway, despite not being able to see the top tiers very well. It was also a great spot to enjoy the cool spray on a hot summer day.
