PLEASE VIEW ON BLACK The Mendocino coastline is just amazing. Beautiful rock formations and coastal forests. I have had this shot planned out for awhile now, maybe not this exact shot, but something very simple and symmetrical with the Milky Way in its vertical position. These rocks looked really interesting bunched up together so I took a panorama to get both the rocks and a good portion of the Galaxy. My friend Griffin and I ventured out of San Francisco at about 10PM, drove a 3 hour curvy road out to the spot then hiked down to the spot. We shot at about 2:30 AM and drove back for sunrise. The spontaneous journey was awesome, its always a good time, hanging out and viewing the stars. The Panorama consists of 10 Horizontal 14MM photos stitched in Adobe Photoshop to give the very wide point of view. Nikon 14-24, Canon 6D 25SEC F/2.8 ISO6400 via 500px http://ift.tt/YsRMnI
