Mount Rainier towers above the clouds at nightfall. Looks best on black. This is from the last night of a private tour I recently led at Rainier - no "epic" light or sunset, but definitely the most special conditions we got. These clouds rolled in and dissipated again in a matter of minutes - quite a thing to see. I'd like to dedicate this shot to the memory of my friend, Jeff Swanson, who died of cancer in August at 30 years old. I know it's a bit late, but I knew this was the shot I wanted to be for him, and it took me a while to dial it in. Even though I didn't know him long, I know if we had met sooner we'd have been the best of friends. I'll miss you, buddy. f/it and be there. http://ift.tt/YdCotQ via 500px http://ift.tt/1vfoe7j
