Momo Staircase by carllindbloom

© Lindbloom Photography The Momo Staircase, sometimes referred to as the "Snail Staircase" is one of the most photographed aspects of the Vatican Museums. It was designed and built in 1932 by Giuseppe Momo. The Momo Staircase is in fact made up of two wrought iron staircases that curve in a double helix. Ironically this staircase was created in a time before the double helix became a symbol for science and DNA. via 500px http://ift.tt/1qErKZb
