There are many unbelievable waterfalls in Iceland and Dynjandi is one of the less known and more remote ones. There is an almost spiritual quality to this huge and cascading waterfall. This is a 5- shot vertical panorama and it was done that way more out of necessity than choice, since my brand new Canon 16-35mm f4 IS ceased working on the very first day of my trip (much to my shock). Shooting waterfalls in close proximity is not easy, especially with longer exposures, since you hardly get a shot without any water drops on your lens and you often need multiple exposures and a lot of lens cleaning for one perfect shot. Having had only 24mm as my widest focal lenght didn't make it easier and I had to do a LOT of stitching in post. There is one reward though. Stitching vertical shots from a camera like the A7R gives you a ridiculous amount of detail and sharpness. I am happy to share this image of Dynjandi, which I am sure you haven't seen before that way. Visit me on facebook: http://ift.tt/1rXZNdY via 500px http://ift.tt/1sG5Bg7
