"Hinemoa", the Maori name for "The Lady of the Lake". Lake Wanaka. New Zealand. This is one of the most photographed trees in the world, and has become a magnet for photographers. This was taken shortly after sunrise, at the end of a long, dry summer. Normally the lake levels are a bit higher, and the tree is reflected beautifully in the serene and often misty waters. If you want to photograph Hinemoa, be early and be patient. There are usually a dozen others here all jostling for the best position. The evening before, we all had to wait for a Chinese couple who had flown here just to have their wedding photos taken with this as the backdrop. via 500px http://ift.tt/1zEbc9Y
