Stargazing almost feels unreal sometimes, like a dream that will not end until the moment you take your eyes away. This image consists of two metal sculptures of Big Horned Sheep by an artist named Ricardo Breceda. Breceda crafted over 120 metallic sculptures around the small and isolated town of Borrego Springs, out in the middle of the Anza Borrego Desert in California. The galaxy in this area is one of the brightest in Southern California. The Milky Way and stars cover the sky with great intensity. The image is not a composite or a tracking shot. The photograph is just one single photo of two very beautiful pieces of art, one being man made and the other being natural. Creating silhouettes is a powerful tool in a photographers arsenal, the key is to know when to use them. I personally created this image as a silhouette to give life and mystery to these sculptures, suddenly taking away the metal and bolts exemplifies the true shape and form. via 500px http://ift.tt/1wnSBHR
