Notable amongst them are the old & the new Supreme Courts & Parliament Houses of the Civic District {read: serious & boring} in the left foreground ~ a.k.a. north bank of S'pore River. On the top left sits the modern and towering Financial District {read: $$$} ~ a.k.a. south bank of S'pore River. The preserved low-rise houses of Boat Quay {read: food, beverages & entertainment} line the bank of the historic Singapore River {a lifeline of Singapore for more than 150 years}. A much stronger & de-facto composition is one minus the right half. I offer you an alternative view (which fits into this theme); one as seen from a 14mm focal length but partially corrected for perspective distortion. For the record, the districts of "old Chinatown" and "modern Clark Quay" are on the right half. As per all my photographs (with the exceptions of NIR), this is almost straight-off-camera but for the correction stated above. ........ A BIG THANK YOU to Mr. Sim Kim Seong http://ift.tt/1u18WoD for introducing me to this amazing place! ........ Drop by my Facebook Page (http://ift.tt/1ovULG8) for the latest. Due to heavy time constraints, I’ve minimised all activities here but should you be interested, I’ve relegated most photographs to my Sets. Thank you. via 500px http://ift.tt/1tabNXm
