The River of Stone by MAPhoto

.............VIEW ON BLACK............. I have been stuck in British Columbia now for 6 days. The weather in the range I hope to helicopter into so I can start a major photographic expedition has been horrendous, to say the least, and nothing is getting into or out of there in hurricane force winds and blizzards constantly. I want to see new things, do new things, test myself and find adventures unknown. I am biding my time. During this time I figured, what the heck, let's process some more stuff from a completely different side of the continent. I wouldn't usually process an image like this one, because it's design is too formulaic, too predictable. The leading lines to the light, transitions, wide angle, etc...I could practically take images like this in my sleep. It's not so creative. That's what I don't like about it. What I do like about it is that despite the unoriginal design it is a view that you probably have not seen before from Zion, a much photographed place. That and I have always been a sucker for pretty colors and light. via 500px http://ift.tt/1uk9mZi
