hraunfossar II by peterrivera02
(wikipedia) Hraunfossar is a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field which flowed from an eruption of one of the volcanoes lying under the glacier Langjökull. The waterfalls pour into the Hvítá river from ledges of less porous rock in the lava. The name hraun comes from the Icelandic word for lava. via 500px http://500px.com/photo/94086337

Fantastic Voyage by nevadax1
The view of Zion Canyon in autumn from a hot air balloon must be fantastic! My vantage point from the bridge highlights "The Watchman" as the red rock reflects the sun of early evening. Below, the Virgin River flows through beautiful Zion National Park in southern Utah. Thanks for looking! via 500px http://500px.com/photo/94112353

Heaven and Hell by antonicladera
“Imagine the red bridge... It’s like a door to Hell, once you come in you can’t come out, cursed for eternity... I’ve heard stories spoken by the elders... Stories about seamen who sailed never to return again... All vanished but one... There was one who returned... On a new moon day...” This is how the legend goes: “Only in the nights of new moon, when the stars dig deep into the very bowels of Hell, the Brave will find the star way back to the human world” I’ve always been fascinated by old sea stories and legends. The truth is that too many seamen have been swallowed by the sea leaving their wife and children behind. All these real life dramas have inspired me to look for a spark of hope. This is how I came up with the idea of connecting Hell and Heaven with a stair made of stars... Connecting them with the majestic Milky Way... In a new moon night. If you’re interested in learning how I took this picture, just have a look at the following article I’ve written… you’ll find everything you need to take great Milky Way pictures: How to shoot truly contagious Milky Way pictures via 500px http://500px.com/photo/94093553

Life in Death Valley by Eddie-Hade
Life In Death Valley. I only had a few hours to spend on the only visit to Death Valley I have ever had the opportunity to make. They said it had not rained all year so I was fortunate and/or unfortunate to visit on such a cloudy hazy overcast day. I was awe struck as to how barren and desolate it was. I attempted to tell that story with an expansive landscape photo, however the haze in the valley prevented me from getting any decent detailed panoramas. In the end I focused on one rather lonely old bush growing out of the barren rocky soil. This is what life in Death Valley looks like. via 500px http://500px.com/photo/94075609

Winter game dream by Carlosmacr
After watching in youtube a tutorial about how process a shot in the snow, i decided to do something (again) with an image i took 4 years ago, while spending Christmas in Lithuania. As i started to edit the image, i changed my mind and made some other changes further than just editing the raw. Looks a little bit (or very :-)) unnatural but as in the title, it's just a dream. Looking to the colours of benchs, thought about Parcheesi and wondered about its original country... so today i learnt it's original from India. Knowing this could be useful when playing another game such as Trivial Pursuit :-) In my opninion looks better over black. Thanks for your visit.
