This image almost didn't happen. I was here around 1 hour before sunrise scouting out a spot to shoot from. As sunrise grew closer, there was a heavy blanket of clouds covering Mt. Rainier. When the sun began to rise over the horizon, the clouds magically disappeared revealing Mt. Rainier. By the time the clouds rolled way enough to get a worthy image the sun was already over the horizon and the scene was pretty dull looking. I packed by camera up and headed back to my car. As I was throwing my backpack in the trunk, my wife yelled at me look. I briefly looked at the mountain to see what I am posting. I quickly ran back to the spot that I had picked out earlier and started clicking. In my hast, I didn't quite land the correct spot prior, but I think this image will work fine. via 500px http://ift.tt/1BPuedT
