Wanted to capture the fairly large, but brittle, ice crystals that formed during a freeze in Norway, as temperatures plummeted to -30 Celsius. I would say the largest crystal shapes are 5 cm across, the ones closest in the foreground were probably within 15 cm of the front element of the lens. The composition is far from flawless, but the formations are neat. If you swiped your fingers through them, they would disintegrate to powder with a glass like sound to them. Luckily I didn't have a dedicated macro lens, or I would have stayed all evening and probably gotten frostbite! Positive or critical, all feedback appreciated. via 500px http://ift.tt/1CvJl7t
