Moment of Light by DrewHopper

Sunrise from Point Lookout in New England National Park, NSW Australia. The first and only sunrise we saw for the three days staying in New England National Park. The valley was blanketed in mist for the most of my stay I woke up early hoping to catch something special. We arrived just at sunrise, but there was still no sign of light, just thick mist. It was like looking at a white wall, no trees, mountains or any definition in the clouds. I don't mind misty conditions so I made the most of my time shooting the Antarctic Beech Forest behind the lookout platform. About 20 minutes after 'sunrise' the sky opened up - just enough time to compose this shot and fire a few rounds. I'd have to say this was the best light of the trip and I'm glad I dragged myself out of bed to capture it - this is that special shot I had dreamed of! http://ift.tt/1LGne58 via 500px http://ift.tt/1Bsg82V
