Forgotten in the context of compared to shooting the Golden Gate bridge. Most of us, including myself, rush to shoot the Golden Gate when we see low fog. That is also mainly because it doesn't reach here often. On this morning, I was headed out to scope the fog and interestingly there was none to be had at the Golden Gate (but could clearly see across the bay) and it was all at the Bay Bridge instead, which is quite unique and rare. Usually I stop in the Marin Headlands (by the Golden Gate) and assess before paying the $7 bridge fee going into San Francisco, but there was no question that I was just going for it to try and capture this type of shot. It was going up and down and, at one point, left but ended up coming right back because it dropped again right at middle of blue hour. I really liked how the fog created kind of spotlights on the bridge pointing towards the cars. One of my new years resolutions was to try and expand my horizons and not just shoot the golden gate, although I will always love it and still shoot it, this was far more interesting to me to try and get something unique and rare as this via 500px http://ift.tt/1CX8OJM
