Taranaki New Zealand The evening shoot ended watching the stars brighten over Taranaki while planes flew overhead on their flightpath to South Island. I was almost going to sleep under the stars here but the wet peat had other ideas and I gave in to my yawns heading back to the hut. I had never been able to get very clear star reflections before but on this night , the water was still and the tarn had an immediate drop off from its edge meaning I could literally plant the tripod into the water and have the camera at water level. I think that's the key anyway! [Web Gallery] [Facebook] [Instagram] [Flickr] [Deviant Art Gallery] via 500px http://ift.tt/1burEiJ
