Emerging Spectrum by ArturStanisz

"Emerging Spectrum" shows Argentina's most iconic mountain, the Fitz Roy that can be seen in Parque Nacional de los Glaciares. It was taken during the sunrise in the late fall conditions. I was returning to this location multiple times during my stay in the park to be able to capture entire spectrum of colours. I was waiting for the first light to strike the Fitz Roy's peak and aimed to combine on my photo morning sky and cascading river with richness of beautiful fall colours of the surrounding flora. I hoped that all these elements would create the real picture of Patagonia's natural beauty at this time of the year. I was having a lot of fun taking this photo while balancing on the edge of the rock in the middle of the river's stream. I can't find words to describe what feelings one has while seeing this Patagonia's morning beauty. It was simply breathtaking. This photograph shows the tower of Cerro Torre and Rio Fitz Roy in the Argentinean side of Patagonia. I captured this view just after the sunset. Constantly receding glacier feeds the water of Laguna Torre where the River Fitz Roy takes its beginning. Candy like Patagonia by ArturStanisz

One thing that I love about Patagonia is its constantly changing weather. In reality it means that you never know what you are going to get. This was the case with this photo. After a 3 days long wait for conditions to improve, I captured this scenery. When I saw what was happening on the sky that morning, it was like a candy in my mouth. This photo was taken the same morning as my previous "Otherworldly" picture, but few hours later. A very strong wind, caused clouds to move rapidly. The light was constantly on the move influencing changes in the colour of the sky. When I was watching these quickly moving clouds, I feared that the light would never appear. I was really thrilled when for a few minutes the sky exploded with these candy like hues. This photo shows the area of Salto Grande Rio Paine and Torres del Paine range. To reach here, I had to hike around 10 km from El Chalten to Poincenot campsite. I was staying there in small tent for 3 nights waiting for good weather condition. From the campsite to this lookout, I spent 2 hours walking up and 2 hours walking down the steep part with many camera equipment. Beauty of Patagonia has no limits. I was "hunting" for some lenticular clouds (I've never seen them before live) and the place didn't disappoint me. Here is the Fitz Roy mountain in El Chaltén, Patagonia, Argentina. The clouds moved over the mountains producing an unreal scene. Colors, timing, and high winds that move these clouds so quickly, as well as stretched them, were all in place. The scene was simply stunning. But, I don't care about the mountains on this shot as much as clouds so I decided to use the Topaz Clouds Sharpening plugin for PS and make them pop quite a bit, as you can see, and mask out everything else.
