++view on black and go full screen for this one++ This is my first ever attempt at a full milky way panoramic. It stretches from looking south toward Astoria, OR and the north to the most northern tip of the Long Beach Peninsula here in Washington. It's comprised of 9 vertically stitched photos, 18mm, ISO 3200, 20 seconds, f/2.8. This location has always held a special in my heart as my dad spent a great deal of time here as a child and kept the tradition alive with me. This photo is a special one not only because of the area it was taken in but also because I was able to shoot the stars with my dad and teach him how to photograph the milky way for his first time. We lost track of time and before we knew it, it was already 2am... It was pretty awesome! Thanks for checking it out sharing is appreciated! We were completely alone, in a field in country NSW and it was a glorious afternoon. The sun was setting and throwing a magnificent light across the open plains in front of us and with a few drinks in hand we got to work with the camera's and took it all in. I'm still at a loss as to why exactly this location was chosen for the filming of the barn scene in Superman Returns but on that afternoon, in good company with that warm autumn setting sun I wasn't complaining. http://ift.tt/1j9IPX1 In a paddock outside Breeza this incredible American style barn is all that remains from the 2006 Hollywood Blockbuster - Superman Returns. On Thursday night, as I was settling in for a comfy and 'relaxed' long weekend I received a text from my good friend Tim Poulton proposing a mad dash the next morning out to country NSW to camp and photograph this amazing location. The next morning we met up with Timbo Don and Ben Coope and set sail for a night of mayhem. 5 half hours later and we were standing in a field, seemingly in the middle of no-where. Surrounded by wheat stubble was the incredible 'superman barn'. Firstly I'd like to thank the owners of this amazing structure and Ray Jennings for all the details. Yesterday I headed out to country Australia with good mates Timothy Donnelly, Jay Daley and Ben Coope for a night at the famous Barn from the 2006 Superman Returns movie. Although in the movie it had a field of corn surrounding it our sunrise and night of stars will make this one of the best sessions you'll see from this location.
